Fall is about here. It is time to make apple recipes. This is old recipe from friend of my Granny. It dates back over 100 years.

Apple Pudding

Take one half pound of bread crumbs, suet, apples, currants and brown sugar. Also add 1/2 pound of sweet almonds. Add cinnamon and allspice to taste. Chop the almonds finely, pare and core and chop the apples, then mix all ingredients together. Add egg whites last. Boil for three hours, in either pudding bag or a mould. Make sure mould is well buttered.
