I'm trying to study more artillery as I'm not an expert. These are some photos of artillery at Antietam, I know one of them is a Parrott gun, is the other one an ordnance gun?

The top photo is a 3 in ordnance gun and the other is indeed a Parrott.

The book you need for artillery at Antietam is 'Artillery Hell' by Curt Johnson, Richard C. Anderson, Joseph Mills Hanson.
Summarises everything that is known about both Union and Confederate batteries and where they were positioned and used at Antietam. Less than $10 good condition second hand on Amazon.com.

The correct Federal Parrott for Antietam would be a 2.9" with fluted muzzle, yes?
Sorry - I missed this at the time. Yes - muzzle swell should be there. Parrott did not go to the 3" caliber until 1863 and its production of those did not really ramp up until early 1864 IIRC.
