That's it for the Maynard. Haven't yet had a chance to get this one out to the range, but I have owned one previously and next to the Smith are my favorite for ease of operation, great piece.

Wow - very nice! Thank you for sharing. I'm sure there are those who are very knowledgeable about carbines but there are those of us who are newbies anxious to learn all we can so your pics are very valuable. I'll be on a carbine hunt this weekend in Dalton - no particular version in mind but, like you have, a nice representative example.

This is the second smith I have owned, and the rear screw was missing on both, is that just a coincidence or is that common on these?

Nipple is a modern replacement, I save the original nipples from additional wear.
