New to CWT and have been learning a lot reading posts from multiple forums.
I did not realize there were very few powder flasks used in the War because paper cartridges were already in use.
Having pre-made paper cartridges must have meant there were not a lot of bullets cast by soldiers in the field.
I find .58s in both 450 and 500 grains, they are easy to tell apart when viewed side by side. What is the weight of the .58s you typically find on a CW site?
I am in the Dakota Territory, so not directly tied to the CW, but connected by the military hardware that was used in the same time frame. A lot of Military activity here also in the 1860s and earlier.
