57th Indiana colors...

Does anyone have a photo of the regimental colors of the 57th Indiana Vols.?

I'm experimenting with different silk paints and want to get an exact likeness...All I could find online was the 58th Indiana's flag..I included a pic of my work...it's a work in progress at the moment.

Have you tried either of the museums in Indianapolis? I missed visiting the Eli Lilly Civil War Museum in downtown because it was closed due to temporary inaccessibility; however, the nearby War Memorial Museum also contained several recently-restored flags, including some from the Civil War like this one from the 15th. Here's another National color purposely showing all the bullet holes:

I sent in an email to the Indiana War Memorial and hopefully will hear from them by tomorrow. They have 1 regimental flag and 3 national flags from the 57th Indiana in their collection.

I managed to get the colors of the 23rd Indiana 2 years ago via email but have since noticed that there's a "I want to order battle flag photographs" PDF file on their website that come with a price tag but this is specifically for physical prints so I'm hoping that one can still obtain them for free via email.

Edit: Also, is that a WW1 Monument behind that flag you're working on?

Sorry for the delay in response but hurricane prep-evacuation etc...Wow so great I'd love to know what you get back from them! And yes that is it was for a proposal for the centennial in 18...
