Edit - Some websites say Forrest was born in the town of Chapel Hill, TN without giving the name of the county, others say he was born in Bedford County, TN without giving the name of the town.

Actually, Chapel Hill today is part of Marshall County, but at the time Forrest was born, it was part of Bedford County.

I'll give credit for anyone who answers Chapel Hill, Bedford County, or Marshall County.
