A strange little off shoot. Colonel Clinch and his unit were at Olustee and made a huge blunder by wading through a bog on the right flank of the Union Army. I'm not sure if, because our home is swamp, they assumed that they could make it through based on the experience, or if he was just over confident, or if it was a combination of the two.
Edit - Now that the official answer is posted, it is apparent that the questioner intended to ask for the names of the counties from which the regiment came. However, that wasn't made clear in the question.
As I indicated in post # 40, because the question wasn't specific, I am accepting "Georgia" as a correct answer to the second part of the question.
A number of players didn't bother to post an answer to the second part of the question, apparently feeling that if the name of the regiment was the 4th Georgia Cavalry, that implied that the regiment had to have come from Georgia. I can't dispute that logic, so I won't take credit away from anybody. Still, I wish players would always give explicit answers to all parts of any multi-part question.
