Anyone else's ancester fought with this group?

I had a relative in the 2nd NC Mounted. I've read about them and being from East Tennessee I'm certainly aware of their service.

I had a relative in the 2nd NC Mounted. I've read about them and being from East Tennessee I'm certainly aware of their service.

My 2nd great-grandfather, (my Avatar), was probably among the last group of conscripts and recruits at Camp Vance (Feb-March 1864) to train there before the 3rd's raid on the camp.
