Edit - Normally, Thursday questions are worth 10 points and Friday questions are worth 2. However, we had no Thursday question this week. This Friday question is labeled as being worth 10 points, so that's the way I'm going to score it.

gonna go with TRUE - 50-50 chance, right. Winchester changed hands many, many times I know.

Edit - Correct, kbear. Haven't seen you on the trivia game for a while, but welcome back.

Hope you'll return to play some more.

True. Despite the fact that Stonewall Jackson had won a resounding victory against Banks at Winchester exactly two months before the date given in the question, on May 31 he left Winchester and Banks entered the city on June 4, 1862, keeping it under Union control till early September, 1862.

Edit - Correct, Civil War Scholar. Welcome to the trivia game and to CivilWarTalk.

Hope you'll come back and play again.
