I posted this P-53 in the for sale forum and never got anyone to show interest.
It has 80% barrel blue and all the makers marks: J.T. (Joseph Turner), S&S,(Swinburn)
Faulkner. About 8 years back, Tim Prince of College Hill Arsenal appraised it for $5,000.
The former owner was from Williamsburg, VA, and shot this for many years at the NSSA. I bought it from his widow, At that time, no information was available about the anchor over S stamp.

Update: MAKE ME AN OFFER!

Happy New Year.

Still for sale? What's the condition of the bore/rifling? Any problems with the gun or non-original parts?
Mine is in much better condition than the one on "Arizona Sword." The ramrod is original with the gun. If you use a magnifying glass, there is a small "s" in the knurling on the tip of the rammer - Swinburn & Sons.

It has a strong bore, it is all original It is the best Enfield and Civil War gun that I have owned
I cannot find a light small enough to put into the bore. The bore is not rusted or corroded and the rifling is strong. I have fired this piece several times with 40, 60 and 100 grains of BP. (that 100 really kicked) - I properly cleaned after each firing. The former owner fired in NASSA events and they cleaned the guns after each event. I stand behind the photos and my statement of condition. If someone buys this and is not satisfied, I will refund the purchase price
