ENDED 1861 Springfield $650

I have a 61 Springfield that has had all modern markings removed. There are symbols on bottom of barrel that I know nothing about. The Rifle is in very good condition. And is thoroughly cleaned after every time it has been fired. The gentlemen I bought it from said it was an Armisport but I don't know how to prove that unless those markings tells you.

Yes it is tempting. Sad thing is I just ordered a Springfield 1842 smoothbore. Wonder if the wife would notice this too.
