In the southern hardtack thread USS Alaska posted an agriculture map that included slave revolts.

It shows an 1850 slave revolt in northeast Missouri, which shouldn't be far from me, but have read a lot of county histories over the years and don't recall this incident.

I found a website http://slaverebellion.org/index.php?page=maps

Its maps show none for Missouri, but under its timeline it has

SLAVES ARM THEMSELVES AND MARCH TOWARD FREEDOM
1850
Thirty slaves in Missouri armed themselves and began marching toward freedom. They were surrounded, held out for a while and then surrendered.

which is vague without any locations to go on to look into it..............and isn't really clear if it was an revolt or more just an escape attempt

Does anyone else have information or sources for a 1850 Missouri slave revolt?
