I am glad that I bought this book "Gun Tools Their History and Identification"--back in November 1993.

My collection of gun tools is not very extensive and I have to read my notes to remember what they are-- but I am glad to have them.
I scanned certain pages in the book which I think are relevant to the tools shown.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

A Civil War period liquor flask and collapsible drinking cup and fife. (A little music while having a drink.)

Very Nice. Thanks for sharing.

I scanned the first image for spring vises (and found at least one--probably two). These were absolutely essential for disassembling a sidelock firearm with a v-leaf main spring.
