If I wanted to reenact would I need different three sizes of the trousers? Today I put away the last of my winter weight pants and go out my summer weight pants. In my upstairs closet I have three sizes of pants: thin, not so thin, and many pounds over not so thin. So if I reenacted would I need three sizes of trousers, and two sizes of jackets and shirts? This would run into real money.

No you need to manage your waist line a little better and they weren't issued summer weight uniforms so you only need 1.

Hopefully, you'll be out of the "Christmas" size by the time spring drills start. If not, just step up the exercise after New Year's and eat bigger salads. The in-between size should be fine for the rest of the year. Once the campaign season started, everyone lost more weight from lots of marching, so trousers would have been loose on most participants! And since you'll be using braces (suspenders) to hold them up instead of a belt, no big deal.

My doctor tells me that the yo-yo weight syndrome, to which I'm also quite prone, is very bad for my health!

4 burgers are 4 burgers - the amount of salat that goes with them isn't that important

No I am wearing my not so thin trousers. The problem is my thin trouser is when I was 25 are a smaller size than my current thin trousers.

The only Civil War uniform I ever wear is provided by the Michigan History Museum. They paid for the uniforms as well. Some reenactors would love it if the state paid for their uniform.
