The company in question though good intended is severely lacking in ACW knowledge and I would not trust their research. They should stick to what they know best WW2 & 1. They have sold many post war items as original ACW.......
Thanks much for the responses. I didn't get an 1860's vibe from them but wanted to be certain. (I think the leather may be macine sewn) My dad said his grampa from Iowa always wore wood sole shoes, back in the 40's
My favorite pair of shoes was a set of wooden soled clogs I wore in high school. Our soccer coach, from Sweden, wore them to play in. Never got that comfortable in my clogs though.
