Wikimedia 2017 "Monument" Photo Contest

In case it may be of interest to the outstanding photographers who contribute to CivilWarTalk's photography contests, here is a link to Wikimedia's "Wiki Loves Monuments" contest, which is accepting submissions through the end of September. The contest seeks monuments in the general sense of the word: cultural and historic sites, not specifically statuary and commemorative markers. At seeing the announcement, I immediately thought of the photographers here. Perhaps the contest may offer an opportunity to share photos of some of your favorite places with a wider audience. Wikimedia Commons has announced the winners of its "Wiki Loves Monuments" contest. A photograph of the Manassas Battlefield by John Packard was selected as one of the 10 winners. Congratulations to John Packard, and if John is a CWT member, double congratulations!
