Whitney revolver serial numbers

Hello and good morning. I was hoping someone on here would be kind enough to post if they have the information. I am looking at a Whitney revolver Navy 2nd model but can not confirm (because I can not find any information or have a book currently) on the year of manufacture. It is in the 27 thousand range. Thank you for any help in this matter.

1866" by Daniel Williams Jr. 27000 range is a 2nd Model type 4 as they went to 28000 per Williams book

I have no photos, I just took a quick glance at it and remembered the serial number was 27,???

Did it have a Y offset to the right of the serial #

CW use and issue went to 25,000 with the Y variant. That is why photos are needed.

Isn't that total production of the 2nd model. And with it being a Navy in the 27*** range would that make it post war????
