I just acquired a Whitney Pocket revolver (.31 caliber)with a six inch barrel. Some of its characteristics are listed below.

-Serial Number 11801. SN appears on the cylinder, under the barrel, on loading lever, on underside of trigger guard and on the frame under the trigger guard.
-A single safety notch
-I can make out some of the cylinder scene. I see part of the shield with coat of arms.
-7 groove rifling.
-Early type loading lever latch.
-Early type address on barrel. All fonts the same.

I believe that it is a Second Model, Third Type, even though the serial number is past 11000. It is in great shape. Tight action.

Can anyone give me any additional information on it? I would like to know what year it was manufactured.
