<<sigh>> This picture is like an illustration from "Farb for Dummies." "Circle the Obvious Anachronisms." Uh... the church fellowship hall chairs... the craft store lantern... the 1890s sunglasses... the arts and crafts coffee mug... the slack rigged tent that wouldn't keep out a sneeze... the wheelbarrow or 4-wheeler under the blanket in back (though, really, why bother?). Cloth rifle sling for extra credit. That's all I've got. I've been reenacting for 50 years, in various flavors of the hobby. My first season was not this egregious. It has been said that the difference between a farb and a reenactor is that a farb has no shame. Here endeth the lesson. (Climbs down from soapbox.)

It's way too early in the morning to be this alert. What did you put in your coffee?

My thought was that he'd put an adult beverage in his canteen and now couldn't find said canteen because he'd already drank it dry. Doesn't he look a little hungover to you?

PS: The glasses don't look quite right to me. Tinted or Transitions lenses? But I could be wrong because I'm not fully awake. :D

Don't shoot me, I'm only the photographer.

Actually, I am renowned for the strength of my java! I used to say "I'm not a detail person" then my wife responded "You zoom in on photographs and can determine a unit by the buttons. That's not exactly 'big picture' behavior."

Hey at least he has several Adult Diapers in his Haversack at his age! Did they even have those back then?
