For those that like GB in the winter (I do!), Plum Run, Devil's Den and similar places, are great for exploring. Cold keeps critters in check, leaves are off trees for a great sight line, and if snowy, it's a completely different place (very few others visiting). Hotel rooms are also dirt cheap.
