This is on the Philip Snyder Farm, between Emmitsburg Road and West Confederate Avenue, more or less across from the Arkansas State Monument. Snyder lived there with his 2 children. They departed late in the day on July 1 and did not return until July 7. The farm suffered extensive damage, for which Snyder made a claim. However, the government took the position that no fighting took place on this property and so denied the claim. (Now after all that, I only hope I am right about the location.)
