@pamc153PA , Okay, looks like this one was tough!
That may be the understatement of the year! It's fun to guess on the location, but with miles and miles of fence lines and lots of rocks at Gettysburg, it is darn tough to be accurate on the location of a close zoomed in photo.
It's a tough balancing act on this game. Too broad of a photo makes it to easy to guess, too zoomed makes it next to impossible to guess. My thoughts are to focus on photo subjects that would make viewers wanting to visit on their next Gettysburg trip.
I love your photos of fence lines here and on Facebook. Fence lines add so much texture and interest to photos.
However, there are folks here who been to the field many times in their lives or live in and around Gettysburg. If they can't identify a photo location, the people who live far away and that have been to the field on just a few trips don't have a chance of knowing the location.
I hope people who view these posts have a sincere interest in seeing a "now" shot of the battlefield. So it is a tough balance on zooming/cropping photos to give people a chance of knowing the location and more importantly in my eyes is encouraging people to visit that location on a future trip. Maybe a location clue on these tight zoomed photos would help.
But thanks to you and Mark for doing these posts. Still lots of fun. My wife and I are off to warmer lands, so we will see you al in a couple of weeks.
