What type of shell

Out in the field right now dug a couple of small pieces of shell then we dug this shell frag any ideas?

When you get a chance post the measurements across the bottom but it looks like a 2.9 inch Parrott
 
2.96 rust added some to measurements what type of sabot would of it used? Usually find hotchkiss frags these are out of the norm finds for us did find some pieces of driving band for hotchkiss.
 
It would have been a brass sabot.
 
That may be brass. The read was a 2.6. Both the read and parrott are very similar in design. The base of the one you found has me leaning parrott.
