According to the Robinson (Illinois) Argus Nov. 17, 1864 there was about 100 soldiers from a Minnesota regiment here in Crawford county to assist the area's Provost Marshal to serve notices on drafted men in that section of the county where the Peace men were so full of fight. Any help with which regiment it could have been will be greatly appreciated.
