Have y'all heard of the website https://palmbeachrarities.com/2020collections/
They are selling incredibly rare civil war artifacts like original confederate kepis and battle flags. Is this site legit? I accidentally stumbled apon this website looking for original cs kepis for reference but it's cool to look through what they have and see the prices they ask

Guessing it would depend on how active the regiment was…..and perhaps how courageous was the bearer.

I'm guessing moth damage/ time was more destructive.
I just remember Rufus Dawes describing how he lost 5 flag bearers in a matter of minutes and how flags just attracted a hail of lead.

Unless of course they repaired them or replaced them when they got to tatty.

That's Gary Hendershott's newest website. He won't be selling anything for the next 5-15 years. Those items, I believe, are all part of Ray Ritchie's collection and will be sold by The Horse Soldier.

The socks 🤣🤣🤣

I make no claims as to the legitimacy or pricing of the items but... with these articles and prices, they deserve more than the ****-tastic pictures posted on the site. I guess, though, if you're pressed for "time" you do what you've gotta do
