Well I found a website that says his last words reported by Varina Davis to be, "Pray excuse me, I cannot take it". (in reference to medicine being offered him)

He Had A Red Lined Cape and A Black Plumed Hat.(Most Sources say It Was An Ostrich Feather)
 
Reports indicate that he lined his cape and/or coat with bright red material.

There is some discussion as to whether the plume was ostrich or peacock, I have found references to both.
