I want to hear and see accounts of how war time "underground railroad" has been depicted at reenactments, if at all. I'm thinking civilian area, but has anyone seen this as a "Contraband camp" near military area, or is it better adjacent to Christian or Sanitary Commission camp in civilian area?, or as an independent camp in civilian area?

What have you seen? _What things are in such a camp? _What is the story? _What should not be the story? _Is it a worthwhile impression or a bother at reenactments?

(If worthwhile, figure out everything I need in the way of tentage, clothes and gear to do this impression. Book the travel and venue site arrangements and obtain permissions, the event grounds map and meal tickets. I'd appreciate if you could also scope out a couple historic sites to visit on the way there. And oh yeah, a letter of recommendation please that I can forward to my wife and other bosses for why I need to go. Thanks. Bill me).
