A pair of beautiful civilian boats circa 1862

Was researching a non CW boat and came across this photo of during the war. Both boats orginally built in Cincinnati Ohio in 1857

The photo was taken in La Crosse Wisconsin, both boats were in the Upper Mississippi trade and saw no real wartime service, besides passengers and perhaps some supplies.

The Key City was owned by the Galena and Minnesota packet company, home ported in Galena or Dubuque

The Milwaukee was owned by the Minnesota packet company.

But would assume both would be somewhat representative of ones on the lower Mississippi that did see more direct service
