Wading for relics

Following up on some deep holes in a little river I've had past success at for relics since the water levels have dropped and its too dang hot and overgrown for any land hunting. Connecticut button was my first target in the first deep hole, might give it one more bath in the juice.

Has anyone tried one of the magnets on a cable that I see advertised on social media to drag the bottom of ponds and steams? I can envision if the right spot is found, a couple muskets can be extracted from the muck on each pass.

There's a guy on YouTube called aqua chigger he's found hundreds of artillery pieces magnet fishing
