Visited Fort Boreman Today

Visited Fort Boreman on the Ohio and Little Kanawha at Parkersburg WV. It was there to protect the Balitimore and Ohio railroad and had about five cannon and a hundred men or so. No battles were fought there but still a neat little historical site. It was the border between free states and slave states before the war and the state was created by the war. The early oil industry actually began here just about the same time it was starting in Titusville, PA. Fun visit, nice view. Saw a tug pushing a coal barge down the Ohio also
