Visit to Franklin

Nice to see they fixed/replaced the "trail" of the cannon at the top of Shy's hill. This is what it looked like when I was there (been a year or two need to go back)View attachment 546477

It's been a long time since I've been to Franklin. Thank you for sharing those pictures.
 
Franklin is the best example of a battlefield that was almost totally lost but which, thanks to the dedication of many people, has been at least partially regained. I remember how happy I was watching the video of the parking lot of that Pizza Hut being jackhammered apart.

It makes me wonder if anything similar might be done to small portions of the Atlanta battlefields.
