Just got back from a night out with @alan polk and his family.
The old Courthouse was lit up with lights on the hill and I snapped this photo.
Thanks , I haven't seen the lights of Vicksburg in years. Does that casino still shine its beacon like it did 25 years ago? I'm not sure Harrahs is even there anymore. According to the map Ameristar is the only one still there.
Though the courthouse is a nice focal point, what really interests me is the building and wrought iron rails in your immediate front, and the large warehouse structure in the far distance. Great picture. Thanks,

I remember a very steep decline by road down to the waterfront from Vicksburg 'proper'. I only walked down it and back up once. I did scale the embankments off the beaten track a few times. I knew the battle entrenchments by the light of the moon, being summertime. I had a remarkable 3 months exploring there in 1990.
