Hey, all. Long-time lurker but I had a question I was hoping I'd be able to get some help with.
In one of Dahlgren's books, there's a table for dimension data for all the 1840s new US cannon designs, the 10", 8", 64-pdr, and all the 32-pdrs. I've been using those to create accurate drawings of them. I'm linking the table I recreated from Dahlgren's information and what I've done with it so far (ignore the carronade, it's a size comp for the 27 cwt gun).
Now what I'd like to do is the same thing for other cannons from that period since I'm enjoying this so much. I've found, in a book of range tables, the form drawings for the Parrott and Dahlgren cannons. They have all the dimensions marked out, so the information does exist somewhere and I just need the numbers to do those families as well. Anyone run into those tables or have them squirreled away somewhere? Or others like the boat howitzers (I'm especially interested in the two oddball ones, the trunnion-equipped 20 pdr rifle and the smallest variety of the 12 pounders) or Dahlgren rifles.
Thanks!
Sean
