Hello,
I am trying to determine the identity of the person in the photo.....most likely a near impossible task!
I do not believe it to be either of the persons suggested on the attached tag, but would love to know if you have any suggestions! Thanks.

Try using Tin Eye, which is a reverse image search.

Try a search with the image as it is, but I would also suggest cropping the image so that it contains only the photograph. Most likely a very long shot....but who knows, give it a try!
