ENDED Union sack coat maybe pants too?

Looking for a nice used coat and maybe trou as well for my son. I've looked at the fabric, as I could make one..but holy cow the price of yardage!!

Size:New recruit scrawny..um...pants would be 30/32, chest is probably 36/8 at a guess.

Working on his "kit" little by little. Right now it's Living History, and we've seen some interesting costumes, let me tell ya! (Gym shoes...floral long johns...).

Alright, here is what I got. Sack coat is 38, all buttons present, no rips or tears.
Upper shelf mounted trousers, better than sutlers row, un hemmed, some replacement buttons, no rips or tears. Both are very serviceable.

Thanks for your response I did measurements on him, and his chest is more like a 34..I'm afraid the 38 will be too big for him. We might be interested in the trousers, he does ride..do you have pictures? Is the coat tailorable? I do quite a bit of sewing. Unlined is easier of course..thanks again..

Coat is unlined, but don't believe 38 will be that big. Shirt, vest, junk in pockets, plus some room for next year. Check period photos, almost all fit like sacks, hence "sack coat." Will try to get some pics tomorrow, if the rain holds off.

His waist is a 30..yup, he is a bean-pole. I think the pants will be too big, even with adjustments.
