Unexpected visit to Gettysburg.

My wife and I were on our way to a history convention in New Jersey and left a day early to visit a relative. Due to an unexpected medical treatment her relative informed us during today"s drive she will not be at home. This left us spending the night at Chambersburg Pa. with no one to visit tomorrow. In the end I have a day to kill. I guess we could find something to do in Gettysburg. I will have to come up with something I want to see.

The cupola is open if you haven't been there.

And the driving tour can be had in a day, or you can take some extra time just to focus on certain spots. There's plenty to see and do and eat there. It's all good.

I know there was one in Littlestown and one not far down the Fairfield Road outside of Gettysburg . My girlfriend is a quilter so I usually read in the truck while she explores them . Works out well for both of us and she loves history as well.
