UCV Belt Buckle?

I have the opportunity to purchase what might be a UCV belt buckle but im not sure, was wondering if its authentic and what the value might be. Thanks

The South was not allowed to wear any items with CS or CSA for many years after the war. Most all UCV belt plates were like the ones below. I don't believe that the one you posted has anything to do with the UCV.

The buckle you photographed has been covered in previous posts.

It was made in the Lorton Reformatory, Va. {along with cannon carriages} for the reenactment of First Mannassas.
They were $1 each or 12 for 10$... I traded 100 dropped Minies for 12 of 'em.. Still have a few laying around, and they are on lots of NSSA shooters cartridge boxes of the "old" guys.

It is an authentic relic of the 1960's and is in no way Confederate.. Less than 10 bucks, just to get it off the market might be the nice thing to do.
