With regard to the 'boat' question about Porter... I'll take the opportunity here (of course) to note that the next captain of the USS Supply after Porter was Henry Walke, who employed it in ferrying supplies to the African, Brazil, and Home Squadrons. Hope it didn't still smell of camel...

SAR, about your question Missing the Boat (03-29-15); is it possible that you mixed up the time a bit? I´m not sure about the time stamps, but to me it says that the question was posted on the 30th and already closed about 20-21 hours later.

I agree that it was locked too soon, as was One of the many firsts of the CW (03-28-15). In the past, we have been used to the questions being available for a longer period of time.
