It is so sad. It was a grand statue. I really don't understand why they vandalize it. He rode with John Hunt Morgan. Later he did so much for Louisville and served in Spanish American War. I guess maybe they do need to move him. Cave Hill be nice place for it. Hei s buried there.

Yes his grave is over on the Lake it would be nice if they could put it in Cave Hill to protect it. They are also doing construction on the Cabin the cemetery.

I think all graves in Cave Hill would be protected. They moved John Hunt Morgan and John C. Breckinridge statues that were in downtown Lexington to Lexington Cemetery. They need to move General Castleman too. Since he buried in Cave Hill be the best place. People are just so insane and have no appreciation of anything.
