This insignia is almost to nice to wear out in the rain and snow.

Nice cap, what's it's story?

It is at the Michigan History Museum. There is no discretion in thecase, however, I believe at one time it as said to be a Civil War drummer in an Illinois regiment who lived in Michigan. It looks to be almost adult size.

A very nice cap and it does not appear to have seen hear field use.
