My great-great grandfather, his two brothers and their brother-in-law, all served under Tom Green in the 5th Texas Cavalry. The youngest died in Louisiana, but the others returned home to Atascosa County, Texas. The Frazier books are by far the most detailed.
 
Way back on post #13 is a link about Green. In it are listed the various brigades that made up Green's Cavalry Division. On that list is / brigade under the command of a Brigadier General Augustus Buchel. Not nitpicking but Buchel was only a Colonel.
 
Wasn't the naval invasion of Brashear City commanded by Green? The one where they loaded up on skiffs, canoes, and sugar troughs? 😂
I presume that you are referring to the Brashear City operation in June of '63. It is covered in Blood on the Bayou from pages 211 to 234. @SeanMichaelChick, whom I don't know personally, wrote a brief article on it here which you might enjoy:
