It's been a few years since I visited McFadden's farm at Stones River but had the chance since I had an early work day. Everytime I come here I try to imagine the scene as it was Jan. 2, 1863 when my GG-Grandfather was across the river in the 26th Tennessee Infantry

Great photos. We just had our annual CWT Muster there last year we had a GREAT EVENT. The highlight at McFadden's farm was our member @Rusk County Avengers recreating the CS crossing the Stones River.

Very nice thread. Stones River is a seldom visited National Battlefield Park and sadly the brave men who fought and died there, on both sides, recieve little attention.
Regards
David
