When I was on the battlefield, today, I met some special "guests."

This was Grant's first battle since taking over as the General-in-Chief.

This is General Sheridan escorting the President.

This very elderly captain in the foreground caught my attention and I asked him who he was. He told me that he was the great-great-great grandson of General Grant.

Great to see Grant and his great great Grandson there together :D The one being real of course!

Thanks for sharing. Maybe there are more images to come? I hope so.

Yeah, I hope so too !

I would really like to be there, in the middle of the ACW History with the battelfields and the events you organise !

Okay, I decided, before or after I'Il organise a good travel to your great country; for now I shall satisfy myself with all the photos that we have here

Civil War Balloon Corps longtime friend Dean DeRosa of Virginia Vintage Photography took and shared these amazing stereoscope pictures from the Wilderness Battlefield Encampment at Ellwood Manor, Locust Grove, Virginia, May 4, 2019

Take the time to scroll through the photographs and you'll see several of yours truly, including a picture with President Lincoln - a staunch supporter of Lowe and his Balloons

The young Captain's name is John Griffiths. We shared some very interesting and enlightening conversation.

Great Photos and Event. I always love these events cause they make me wonder what CS Officer I could portray.
