The Wilderness, 155th Anniversary

When I was on the battlefield, today, I met some special "guests."

This was Grant's first battle since taking over as the General-in-Chief.

This is General Sheridan escorting the President.

This very elderly captain in the foreground caught my attention and I asked him who he was. He told me that he was the great-great-great grandson of General Grant.

I would really like to be there, in the middle of the ACW History with the battelfields and the events you organise !

Okay, I decided, before or after I'Il organise a good travel to your great country; for now I shall satisfy myself with all the photos that we have here

I thought that this was interesting. It's a military strategy class consisting of some of North Carolina's officer candidates of the National Guard. They were at the ruins of Catherine's Furnace in the Wilderness
