The War Log

Maryland...'bout 55 miles south of Gettysburg.
This War Log has attached to it five original Civil War bullets. You can also see where there were
several other bullets attached also at one time that have evidently fallen off. These are not
bullets in wood, but original bullets attached some time ago, but not during the war. Why?
Was this made as some type of memorial? Got this some time ago at an auction, and there
were some other items at the same sale that were all original old items.

That's an interesting one, I've never seen that done. Probably not my style of displaying bullets... but it would be interesting to know what the maker intended. Thanks for sharing.
 
Interesting piece but I wouldn't go as far as calling it a "War Log" as that is reserved for trees with bullets and arty shells embedded from firing.
