Beautiful setting! Imagine it was a peaceful place to farm before the recent unpleasantness interrupted lives there.

This time, I made an effort to spend some time in the Emmitsburg Road area, especially the Codori, Sherfy and Rogers farms area.

I think I'm going to have to do that myself when I'm out in August.

It's interesting to stand there and gauge the distance between the lines and try to imagine the Pickett-Trimble-Pettigrew Assault and just how far they had to cover.
