T. Miller button

The A are VERY rare. The I's are the most common of the the T Miller its still a rare button. Most of the info comes from Albert's and Tice's books.

Indeed, Very interesting. I would have thought the CS was the most common. Just from what limited info. I found. I appreciate your help.

I'm up here in Chattanooga for the Civil War show and saw Nick aka Tenn relics today. I will walk over tomorrow and see if he brought that C button which I'm sure he did if not already sold.

Thanks for you information. The CS button (image) is the most common T. Miller I have found on the net. I've only seen the one "A" T. Miller and that is one Tennessee Relics I believe is selling for 1800-1900 hundred retail. I have yet to find the "I" T. Miller on the net. So you are finding it the Tice book? Does it say common or anything as to how common it may or may not be? Is there any information on T. Miller himself?
I dug an "A" T. Miller button and featured it on this forum about 2 months ago. Mine was found near Milliken's Bend, Louisiana.

Is he from Army of Tennessee relics? If so ask if he has gotten any bites on the "A" Miller..
Yep one in the same I'll ask Nick when I see him today.

Wow, I'll look for that. I bet you're still jazzed about that. Was it a camp site you knew of happened on?
Yes, I was hunting a camp site. When I found the "A" T.Miller button I didn't know exactly what I had till I got home and started doing some research. I believe my button was lost by a member of The Alamo Guards, part of Walker's Texas Division. He had 3 artillery batteries attached to his division. A relic hunter I know over around Tallulah, LA found a "C" T.Miller button a few years back. They are certainly rare to find. Congrats on your button find.
I see where UCVrelics put a link to my thread on this forum.

Pretty much same here. I knew it was a civil war button. But just secured it and during break I was checking it out the realized it was concave and then the wheels start turning. I'm still jazzed myself. I'm in Port Gigson this week and licking my chops. Didn't have time to hunt here but sure would love to. Maybe next time. May be spending more time in the future here.

Are you touring the grounds of the battlefield in Port Gibson? Lots of good relics in those woods!
