This is a short article mainly of value for the purty pitchurs. I saw this historic, engraved war veteran on display at one of my Navy duty stations in 1975, and was greatly impressed. Now it is on display where lots more ppl can see it. I didn't rehash the MONITOR-MERRIMACK (aka VIRGINIA) battle because it is so well-known, I have nothing to add there.
