I wanted to post to link this game here for the membership to try. Basically, you have a blank spreadsheet and must (in 15 minutes) attempt to list the Union and Confederate Order of Battles. It is a fun quiz and I'm sure that many of the members here can do well, I do all right until brigade commanders where I struggle (particularly with the Union).

p.s. Sporcle will accept last names typically.

That was hard! I got 61 out of 165 and did best with Longstreet's corps. I couldn't name a single brigade or division commander in Sickles' and Sedgwick's corps.:laugh1:

It isn't a surprise that most people know the members of the I Corps-Army of Northern Virginia. Let's just call it The Killer Angels factor. The Army of the Potomac is certainly a challenge just due to the sheer size. As The Iron Duke pointed out the VI Corps is difficult and the only one I could name was General Wright because he replaced Sedgwick when the latter was killed at Spotsylvania. I guess that's what happens when you don't do much fighting during the battle, people won't remember you.

Fitzhugh Lee also gets a boost in this quiz because of that other guy named Lee who was involved. If the player had to enter each name individually (which is possible on Sporcle), I wonder how many people would get Fitzhugh Lee?
