I was aware brass knuckles were around during the ACW, but this is the first example I've seen from that era with a spike:

The auction website doesn't provide much detail other than: "Civil War-period brass knuckles. 2 1/2 in. x 5 1/4 in. ln. molded, vintage brass knuckles with blade designed for close contact (wear consistent with age and use). The Civil War Collection of James C. Frasca"

Anyone have other examples to share of unusual hand-to-hand weapons that date from the Civil War period? Spiked knuckles, trench clubs, etc?

I was unaware...I do have a WW1 trench knife with spiked knuckles. U.S. LF & C 1917....I think it is authentic although the tip may have been snapped. Caveat Emptor!!! Never let your emotions to get ahead of you during a buy.
