Special Orders 191 comes to Monocacy

Interesting. But why did Monocacy get the copy and not Antietam for the 150th coming up in a month. Monacacy was involved in the 1864 campaign.
Special Orders 191 was discovered at a farm on what would later become the Monocacy battlefield. They also have better facilities there for displaying it. Antietam is working on expanding their museum with their own stuff for September.

I guess because S.O. 191 was found on the property which is now part of the Monocacy Battlefield Park. In fact, it is near the Visitor Center.
